GetCardKit is a digital business card app. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and how it is stored.
GetCardKit uses Sign in with Apple as its only authentication method. When you sign in, Apple provides GetCardKit with a stable account identifier. Apple may also share your name and an email address at your discretion during your first sign-in. If you choose Hide My Email, the email Apple provides is a private relay address managed by Apple; your personal email address is not shared with GetCardKit. GetCardKit stores the account identifier to associate your cards with your account. Apple's own privacy policy governs the sign-in process.
You may create multiple cards. For each card, you may optionally enter:
You are in full control of what you enter. A name is required to save a card. All other card fields are optional.
Card information is used to create, store, edit, display, and share digital cards and to provide related features, including widgets, QR codes, share links, vCards and Save to Contacts, email signatures, and tappable contact links. It is not used for advertising, not sold to third parties, and not shared with anyone other than people you choose to share your card link with. GetCardKit does not track you across other apps or websites.
Each card has a unique share link. Anyone who has that link can view the card without signing in. You control whether and with whom you share the link. If you share it publicly, the information on that card becomes publicly accessible to anyone with the link.
When someone opens your card's share link, a view count for that card is incremented. This count is visible to you in the app. GetCardKit does not require card viewers to identify themselves or create an account, and does not use technical request information about viewers for advertising or viewer profiling.
Card data and your account record are stored using Supabase, a cloud infrastructure provider. Profile photos are stored in private cloud storage; they are not publicly accessible via a direct URL and are served only through your card's share link. A copy of your card data is also stored on your device in local app storage. A thumbnail image and selected contact fields are written to a shared container on your device for use by the GetCardKit widget, if you have added the widget to your Home Screen or Lock Screen.
Only the signed-in owner can create, edit, or delete a card. Anyone who receives an active unique share link can view the shared card and can forward that link. Data in transit is encrypted. GetCardKit uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information and reduce the risk of unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure.
When you delete an individual card from within the app, the card record and any associated photo are removed from the server. The card's share link becomes inactive. Your local app data and widget data are updated to reflect the deletion.
You may permanently delete your GetCardKit account from the app's menu. Account deletion requires you to re-authenticate with Apple. As part of the deletion process, GetCardKit revokes your Sign in with Apple credential through Apple's servers. Your cards, photos, and account data are deleted from GetCardKit's active systems. Service providers may retain backup copies under their own retention and security policies. Your local app data and any widget data stored on your device are also cleared. Account deletion cannot be undone.
Your card data and account record are retained for as long as your account exists. Deleting the app from your device does not delete your account or your data from GetCardKit's servers. To remove your data from the server, you must delete your account from within the app. If you need assistance, contact us at the address below.
After deletion is completed, GetCardKit retains a limited technical record for up to 30 days solely to confirm that the deletion completed correctly. This record contains an internal account identifier and limited operational information about the deletion process. It does not contain your name, email address, phone number, card content, or photos.
Support communications are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to and resolve the request, protect the service, or comply with legal obligations, and are then deleted.
GetCardKit is not intended for children under the age of 13. If you are under 13, do not use GetCardKit or submit any personal information through it.
GetCardKit uses the following third-party service providers to operate:
GetCardKit requires service providers that access user data to provide the same or equivalent protection described in this policy and required by applicable Apple guidelines, and to use the data only to provide their services to GetCardKit.
Each provider's own privacy policy governs their handling of any data they process on GetCardKit's behalf.
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new effective date. Continued use of GetCardKit after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
When you contact GetCardKit for support, GetCardKit receives your email address, the content of your message, and any information you choose to include. GetCardKit uses this information only to answer your inquiry and provide support. It is not sold or used for advertising or profiling. It may be processed by the email service provider used to deliver and manage support messages, as described in the Service Providers section.
